I’ve been seeing a lot of people ranting on social media, about the government.  Budgets (or lack thereof), Healthcare, Excess, Spending, Wiretapping, Drone Strikes…  I have been ranting too – but I realized today that I was talking to my friends about my feelings…but not to the people who work for me.

I need to remind myself that I need to communicate with my elected officials.  Supposedly they work for me. If they don’t listen, then I get to replace them.  This morning, I wrote 5 letters.  One to the President, one to the Vice President, a letter to both US Senators and to my Representative in the House.   I plan to write a few more today to people who are on committees that I care about.

When is the last time you told Washington how you’re feeling?   With this much anger about what is going on in the world, it may be time to not be silent anymore.

If you need a reminder –
